What is a sculpture?
The art or practice of creating three-dimensional forms of figures. They can be free standing, where it can be viewed all around, or they can be in relief form, where they are created on a flat surface. They can be created from most anything, but the most common are bronze, clay, wood, paper mache, plaster or plastic. Plaster of Paris is a common product used with children. In this picture, the artist (my son) used old egg cartons, wire, and electrical tape to create a sculpture of a frog eating a fly.
